All About My Piercings [Day 4/5] + All About My Recent Feature.

Welcome back to Simplicit Ci for all of my returning readers and hello to all of my new visitors. Don’t forget to subscribe to this blog Via email to stay updated.

As you lovelies know I’ve recently went to Infinite Body to have my septum and nostril pierced. If you’re new or haven’t had a chance to read it here is the link. Yesterday(7/26) was my fourth day having  both piercings and I wanted to updated everyone. The past day or two my nose has been itching due to the seasalt  but my piercings are fine. I’ve been soaking my nose twice a day. Once in the morning and once before bed and I also use a qtip to clean little by little throughout the day. I push both rings up and down to clean on top and under them. When cleaning I make sure that my hands are clean because my septum ring slides around when cleaning it. Due to me having a high sweet spot my ring hangs more then someone that has a low sweet spot so I always place my jewelry the way that i like it and it stays that way the entire day.

Today I woke up to my nose being slightly sore but I believe I’ve slept on my face so that is probably why. I’ve done my normal cleaning before heading to work and my nose feels fine. The only time my nose feels soar is if I accidentally touch the tip of my nose but don’t worry…. I wont!

All About My New Feature…..and where?

On the 26th I was blessed to be apart of a collaboration with my older cousin who is a licensed hair stylist at Hollywood Hair Studio. Teyanna (my cousin) was doing a video shoot for her brand. With me having a makeup kit she decided to ask me if I could tag along to be her MUA. I felt honored. Along from me doing my own makeup and practicing on my mom, or friends I’ve never had the time to seriously do a face for a professional shoot. I was so nervous because I like for things to be perfect and the moment I mess up I instantly erase and start over. Due to me being used to my own face I have experience but I am used to my face shape,my eye shape etc. If I mess up my own face I can easily wash it off but being in a different environment where its a hit or miss I had no choice but to do my best and be cautious. While applying the makeup I kept thinking “Do your best, do your best you got this” but on the other hand I said “I hope I don’t mess up, I don’t want to be a screw up, get it together”. Her makeup came out fine but I noticed I need a better setting powder ,more beauty blenders and more practice.  There is always room to improve and  I need to step outside of the box and work on different faces just to practice. I’ve gained more confidence in my art but I have a long way to go. If you’re interested in seeing the shoot you can look above. Also, follow us on instagram (@SimpicitCi) or Teyanna’s instagram (@TossedTresses). One last thing, check her out while you’re at it and tell me about your personal experiences below.

XOXO. Thanks for reading! I hope that you’ve enjoyed and I hope that you come back to visit me soon. 😀

DIY Makeup Remover

Today’s blog is a DIY makeup remover for anyone that dislikes spending unnecessary money. Before reading make sure you follow my  blog to get future notifications. 🙂

Every once in awhile I run out of makeup remover. It’s around 9pm and Sephora is closed or I have no money to buy a new remover. I’ve been making a DIY makeup remover that works better then some makeup removers and cost less. I love being able to save money when I can. What I’ve been using is organic coconut oil from the grocery store and Johnson’s baby shampoo. Usually when I use my makeup remover from Sephora some of the makeup ends up in my pores even tho my skin looks clean which causes breakouts.

Take a teaspoon of coconut oil with a hot spoon and place it into your palm. Follow with a few drops of baby shampoo and mix them together into a paste. Rub the paste onto your face in circular motion and rinse. It removes matte lipsticks and even mascara. Repeat this twice and use a warm rag to wipe your face off. It leaves your skin smooth and helps your skin look healthy. I also use a Formula.10.0.6 mask to clean out my pores further.

That’s all for this blog but if you have any questions feel free to ask. Dont forget to follow my social media’s on the side and subscribe. xoxo I hope that this helps.
